Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Clearing your cache and cookies may solve problems with websites or your browser. By clearing your downloaded cached items and cookies, your browser will fetch a fresh copy from the website you access.

Clear information from your device

To clear your history and cookies follow these steps:

*NOTE: Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information but will clear any previous URLs in your quick list and you might need to log in to some websites.

Go to Settings > Safari
Tap Clear History and Website Data

To clear your cookies and keep your history:

*NOTE: Clearing cookies might require you to login to some websites

Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data >
Tap Remove All Website Data.

To visit sites without leaving a history, turn private browsing on or off.

*NOTE: When there's no history or website data to clear, the setting turns gray.
