TCP/IP Reset on Apple Mac OS

Refresh the IP allocation and DNS settings

 

Overview

This guide will show you how to reset your TCP/IP on macOS or Mac OS X computers. TCP IP reset is known as Renew DHCP Lease.

 

To reset the TCP/IP stack, do the following

 

1. Click on Apple icon in the top left corner and then select System Preferences.

2. Select Network.

3. Click on Internet connection with status Connected. Then click Advanced button in the bottom left corner.

4. Open TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease.

5. Press OK to complete the task.

6. Restart Mac.

After completing these instructions, your TCP/IP stack will be reset.
