Find your MAC Address - PlayStation 4

Follow this guide to locate the MAC Address of your Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4) game console.

The MAC Address is necessary to register the device on your account and connect it to the internet.

Method 1: The Quickest Way (System Information)

This method shows both your Wi-Fi and LAN addresses on a single screen.

1. On the PS4 Home Screen, scroll Up to the function menu and select Settings (the toolbox icon).

2. Scroll down to the bottom and select System.

3. Select System Information.

4. You will see your MAC addresses listed:

   • MAC Address (LAN Cable): Use this if you are plugging an Ethernet cable into the back of the console.

   • MAC Address (Wi-Fi): Use this if you are connecting wirelessly.

Method 2: Connection Status Way

Use this method if you are already connected to a network and want to see your current IP address and signal strength alongside the MAC address.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Select Network.

3. Select View Connection Status.

4. Scroll down to find the MAC Address for your current active connection.
